Recently, more than 100 community newspapers from around the country gathered together in Las Vegas for the annual Association of Free Community Publications (AFCP) industry conference and “Best of the Best” Awards Show.

The Arcadia News came home with a whopping 23 awards, including First Place in General Excellence, which is the top honor a community publication can receive. The Arcadia News has won, placed or showed in the General Excellence category in nine out of the last ten years.

Since the paper received its first recognition in 2009, Arcadia News has won more than 160 awards from industry organizations such as the Arizona Press Club, Independent Free Papers of America and AFCP. Some of the categories that the paper repeatedly excels in include: Best Front Page, Best Original Writing, Best Photography and Best Layout/Design.
